Run to Him by Kaycee

Door is flung open once again
My first mentor is my first tormentor
He's going to bring another session of pain
My father yet brings brutality uncensored

This is a house not a home
And we are just people not family
I have known the crushing of bone
But my last hope is Calvary

My earthly father is drunken with wine
But I have a heavenly father who is divine
Strokes of whips tore his skin
That sickness may not fall within

Am not as fast as bolt, but I'll run to him
And the prize may not be gold, but am born to win
I may have known a typical "haba father"
But now I know the great "Abba Father"

And because he lives I can face tomorrow
I'll pray that my God drowns my fathers sorrow
And because my pain is lifted from me
I'll thank him while am on my knees!!!
